part, we will leave Rome. Our first stop
will be in Perugia
, beautiful town, Birthplace of the Perugino ( Raphael's teacher).
Perugia is famous for chocolate production.
We will spend
the day in Umbria, famous for its
vineyards, olive groves and ancient villages
on top of the hills.
Our tour will continue , discovering the wonderful
Assisi,
the mystical city of St. Francis.
Assisi, delimited by ancient walls, lays on
top of the Mount Subasio. Its rose-stone
buildings, the narrow streets, the gracious
palaces, the balconies: everything in Assisi
will hold you fascinated. Visit of the
Church of
St.Mary
of the Angels and then the
Basilica of
St. Francis,
with the masterpieces of Giotto and Cimabue.
It will be a great experience to stroll
around the small artisan shops of the old
city.
Break for a typical lunch in a
characteristic restaurant. Return to Rome.
